Check the Rules for Apple
Gift card rules depend on the issuer and country. Check the card and its official terms before redeeming.

Apple ID country must match the gift card currency. Cannot change Apple ID country while balance remains.
Apple checks Apple ID account storefront settings, not IP geolocation. Using a VPN does not bypass storefront region restrictions.
Do not use VPNs to switch Apple ID regions; changing regions requires spending down balance to exactly $0.00 and legitimate local payment.
